Plate Rolling

Rolling plate into cylinders and cones was Reed-Young’s primary service in the beginning and continues to be our core business today. Forming round cylinders from flat plate is accomplished by rolling the material through plate rolls or forming the cylinders on press brakes. Reed-Young has four plate rolls capable of rolling material up to 3” thick. We can roll carbon steel plate for pressure vessels and tanks. We have been selected to roll stainless steel, copper, titanium and other reactive metals by our clients. Reed-Young is the only company in the gulf coast with hard chrome plated rolls to reduce the possibility of contamination of alloy plate. High quality rolled components means savings to you.
